Little Stars Christian Preschool
Newsletter July 2019
Dear Parents and Carers
This is a very busy last few weeks, we can hardly believe that there is only 3 weeks left to go until we break up.
The Rainbows are excitedly preparing for their new schools, with school visits and teachers visiting us. We had a teachers’ tea which several of the reception teachers attended. The Sunshines have also been preparing for their move up to Rainbows or to another nursery… lots of transitions for our little ones and all of you parents too.
We are in the process of sharing with you your child’s progress in their parent review – we truly value this opportunity to talk about your child’s development and learning – their progress so far and next steps… such a great time to reflect on the growing and learning they have achieved. 😊
The children and staff loved Wildside Encounters – a great adventure meeting the snake, gecko, frog, tarantula, millipede and more. We will email you individually the photos of your child so you can see them enjoying the creatures. Thank you for your contributions to this visit – we have almost covered the cost.

The children are enjoying toys and activities that they have chosen this week … lots of duplo, brio trains and dolls and prams and outdoor water play….

30 hour Entitlement & spaces in September
Please return your eligibility code as soon as possible (before the end of term), we need to input it to the Council during August for you to receive your free entitlement in September. Even if you are only doing 16, 20 or 25 hours you may get this free, if you miss the deadline you will have to pay for those hours and claim in January instead.
We have a few places left for the next academic year but are filling up very quickly. If you have a friend who wants to come but has not yet completed an application form, then please encourage them to send it in as we wouldn’t want people to be disappointed.
Boys & Girls Brigade
The Boys & Girls brigades are open for children aged 5 years and over, meeting at Church every Friday 6–7.30pm during term time, contact Emma Archer at email@example.com . Lots of fun activities, crafts, games, stories and outings. Please put your child’s name on the waiting list for when they are 5.
If you have any spare time to help us clean our toys over the next 2 weeks please let us know. We use the Church dishwasher to clean every box from our cupboard.
What a busy few weeks we have – thank you in advance for your support and help with all our exciting activities.
See you at the funday on Sunday J
